The EliseCRM integration with Google Ads will allow property managers to automatically import advertising spend metrics into EliseAI.
Once you import your metrics, your Marketing ROI report will always reflect accurate, up-to-date spend data, with no manual uploads required.
Integration Benefits
Our Google Ad Spend integration offers the following benefits:
- Accurate ROI Tracking: Your Marketing ROI report will align directly with Google Ads data.
- Automated Updates: No need for manual inputs each month.
- Flexible Spend Groups: Control which campaigns, communities, and time periods are included.
Step 1: Connect Your Google Ads Account
|
■ To connect your Google Ads account... Navigate to the Reports tab in the AI Portal's left sidebar. You can also find it via search: press Cmd+K (Mac) / Ctrl+K (Windows), or click Search at the top of the sidebar. If you do not see this option, contact your org admin to review your user role and permissions. |
Follow these steps to connect your Google Ads account with EliseAI:
- Navigate to Spend Input in your Marketing ROI report.
- Click Integrations and Onboarding in the second row of tabs.
- Click the Connect Google Ads button.
- Sign into your Google account
- After you're successfully signed in, check the Google sign-in complete box.
- Click Fetch Available Accounts to choose which Google Ads accounts to sync data from. Note that this selection is not automatic, so you will need to manually select the desired accounts.
Once approved, EliseAI automatically begins syncing spend data from your campaigns. A second row of tabs will appear: Engagement, Mappings, and Onboarding.
Step 2: Create Spend Groups
AI-Generated Spend Group Suggestions
Using your account names, community names, and campaign names, our AI will generate spend group suggestions for you. You can iterate over these suggestions and choose to add or edit and add them one by one.
Create Spend Groups
After connecting your ad account, you can create Spend Groups to define which campaigns and communities are tied to spend data in EliseAI.
Each Spend Group includes the following configuration options:
-
Assigned Communities
- Map one or more EliseAI communities to the Spend Group. The associated Marketing ROI reports will use the filtered spend.
-
Campaign Name Filters (Optional)
- Include only campaigns that contain specific keywords in their name.
- Example: If your ad account includes multiple properties, you can create a filter for campaigns containing “Penny Lane”.
-
Date Range (Optional)
- Specify a start and/or end date for the Spend Group if you want to limit the reporting window.
Spend Groups ensure your ROI reporting matches your campaign structure while giving you flexibility to separate spend by property, region, or campaign type.
OAuth & Onboarding Flow
Open Authorization (OAuth) is now required for all new client onboarding. Existing clients not currently using OAuth do not need to switch.
After OAuth, you must manually select the accounts you want to onboard.
Onboarding may take up to 4 hours to complete. The sync runs every 2 hours, so fresh tokens may not have loaded yet on the first sync.
Note that there is a 4 hour delay post-login due to Google's authentication.
Post-Onboarding: Sync & Mappings
After onboarding is complete, your data will sync and automatic campaign/account mappings will begin. Our system uses an algorithm to map each community to its respective campaigns and accounts.
Click on Mappings in the second row of tabs to view review your account, campaign tab, and communities.
Engagement Tab & Google Ads Reporting
Click Engagement in the second row of tabs to view your Google Ads reporting.
View your metrics for spend, impressions, and clicks, as well as:
- CTR: Click-through rate (Clicks / Impressions)
- CPC: Cost per click (Spend / Clicks)
- CPM: Cost per mille (Spend / Impressions x 1000)
Use the Aggregation dropdown at the top of the report to switch the view between Community, Account, or Campaign.
When aggregating by Community, you can click into the Spend or Impressions columns to drill down into the community-level data.
- The Spend column will take you to the Spend Report, filtered by Google Ads and community.
- The Impressions column will take you to a view of the campaign/account-level ad metrics for that community.
Note that campaigns and accounts will only appear in the Engagement report if:
- Google Ads is set as the source, and
- There is at least one non-zero touchpoint (lead, tour, application, or lease)
Frequently Asked Questions

What if I don't filter by campaign name?
If you do not filter by campaign name, all campaigns in your Google Ads account will be included in the Spend Group.
How often does my spend data update?
EliseAI pulls updated spend data from Google Ads each night.
