This article outlines the testing procedure for DelinquencyAI during your EliseAI Onboarding Phase. This procedure ensures that DelinquencyAI Outreach works appropriately and consistently for all your residents.
DelinquencyAI Testing Procedure
Work with your EliseAI implementation team to complete the following Delinquency testing steps:

Set up a test building in your external PMS.
- The test building must accurately resemble a true building with real charges and payments.
- Remove any true resident contact information from the test building.
- Add test residents to your test building.
- Select several members of your team to serve as test residents.
- Use unique, made-up names. Double check that you do not use the names of real residents.
- Assign the team members' phone numbers and email addresses to the test residents. This allows your team members to receive and verify delinquency messages once initial outreach begins.
- EliseAI's implementation team runs end-to-end allowlist testing to ensure everything is configured and connected for your DelinquencyAI product. This is a series of validations that ensures:
- All communities are set up properly.
- All external data sources are working properly.
- Your external PMS/CRM can handle imports and exports.
- Your AI Assistant can handle conversations and requests.
- All checkers have been passed.
- Set up any applicable test scenarios within EliseAI. These scenarios may include:
- Charge & Balance Handling
- Section 8 Handling
- Payment Plans
- Promises to Pay
- Eviction Risk Tasks
- Once your team members receive your AI Assistant's initial welcome message, they can start submitting messages and questions to test the AI. See the section below for common test questions.
- Complete all of your selected test scenarios. Once you successfully complete these scenarios, your DelinquencyAI can begin serving real residents.
Test VoiceAI for Delinquency
If your organization plans to use VoiceAI for delinquency, you can test your VoiceAI Assistant by calling your EliseAI vanity numbers or designated property numbers.
Complete VoiceAI setup before conducting any tests. See the following articles for instructions on VoiceAI setup.
Once you complete setup, call the number for each community launched on VoiceAI. You can ask questions listed in the Common Resident Questions section.

Test VoiceAI Transfers
Follow the steps below to test VoiceAI transfers to your billing or resident team.
During Office Hours:
- Call the VoiceAI number.
- Tell your AI Assistant that you would like to speak with a representative.
- When the AI Assistant asks what you are calling about, respond with one of the billing team's responsibilities, such as late payments or payment plans.
- Confirm that the AI offers to transfer you and calls the correct number.
After Office Hours:
- Call the VoiceAI number.
- Tell your AI Assistant that you would like to speak with a representative.
- When the AI Assistant asks what you are calling about, respond with one of the billing team's responsibilities, such as late payments or payment plans.
- Confirm that the AI offers to take a message.
- Navigate to your AI Portal's Tasks page. Check that your AI Assistant created a Call Back task for the call you placed.
Common Resident Questions for Testing
This section lists common resident questions to test on your DelinquencyAI Assistant, along with sample answers. The specific answers provided by your AI Assistant may depend on your organization's Delinquency Settings and Knowledge Base.

How can I pay my rent?
Resident can use e-money orders, checks, ACH, or credit/debit cards. Physical cash is not accepted.
What happens if my rent is late?
Rent paid after the 4th of the month incurs a $50 late fee.
If I pay rent by [variable date], will that stop eviction?
Eviction risk applies if rent is not paid in full before the 15th of the month.
Can I mail my rent if I'm out of town/state/country?
Checks can be mailed, but not physical cash. Recommended: e-money orders, ACH, or card payments via portal.
Will my rent be late if the post office delays delivery?
Rent is late if not received by the 1st, but a 4-day grace period applies
Why can't I pay online?
Residents with a bounced check or payment in the current month must pay with a check or money order.
