- Secure renewals at earlier times before lease ending.

Renewals Message Overview
To view renewals messages sent to a resident, navigate to their conversation history by clicking their name in your Tasks or Resident Contacts page. This opens the resident's guest card and conversation history.
Please note that:
- Your AI Assistant only sends renewals messages between 9 AM and 7PM local hours.
- Your AI Assistant DOES NOT send proactive renewals messages if you have disabled proactive messaging to the resident.
- See Resident Owner and AI Message Controls for more information on this feature.
- Your AI Assistant DOES NOT send proactive renewals messages to residents who have fully opted out from all communication channels.
- See Unsubscribe & Opt-in Behavior for more information.
- Your AI Assistant DOES NOT send proactive renewals messages to residents if the AI handed off the conversation to a live agent.
- The specific language of RenewalsAI messages may depending on:
- Your Renewals Settings
- Your Personalize AI Settings
- The specific resident, lease, and conversation.
Blue Moon Integration
RenewalsAI now integrates with Blue Moon to pull granular lease signature statuses. This requires Blue Moon v3 with Yardi.
- Lease signature statuses include whether the lease has been sent to the resident and which specific residents have or have not signed.
- This new feature enables more targeted signature reminder follow-ups. For instance, the AI does not ask a resident to sign their renewal lease if our system detects a signature.
- You can view this detailed status tracking from the AI Portal on the Operator Dashboard (Reports > Renewals > Operator View > "Offer Selected" tab)
- Please submit a ticket to set up the integration.
Renewals Message Templates
The sections below list the default language used for each outreach message, along with the timeframe in which that message will be sent.
You can change the content and frequency of your AI Assistant's renewals messages in your Renewal Notification Settings. See the Renewals Settings article for detailed instructions.

Renewal notifications are triggered immediately based on the set cadence after renewal offers are approved in the PMS. Because of this, it is critical to ensure that your messaging cadence is configured correctly.
You should carefully determine whether your outreach is set to send:
- X days after offer generated, or
- X days before lease end
If your organization typically approves renewal offers well in advance but only wants renewal communications to go out within a specific window before lease expiration, it is recommended to configure your cadence based on X days before lease end rather than offer generation date.
This ensures renewal outreach is delivered at the expected time and aligns with your intended communication strategy.

Hi {resident name}! This is {ai name}, your Renewal Specialist at {building name}. We value your residency and want to send a friendly reminder that your lease is set to expire on {lease end date}. We’ve prepared your renewal offer which is available in the resident portal.

Snooze RenewalsAI
Follow these steps to assign resident owners and/or disable AI outreach.
- Navigate to a resident's guest card in the Resident Contacts page.
- Scroll down to the Resident Owner section.

Click the Managed by dropdown menu to assign a resident owner. This opens the Resident Owner window.
- Assign a resident owner in the Owner dropdown menu.
- Select an ownership end date in the Ownership Until dropdown menu. Select Forever to set ownership without an end date.
- Toggle the AI Responses switch to snooze all AI responses to the resident.
- Select a date to end the snooze. Or, select Forever to hold the snooze indefinitely.
- Toggle the AI Proactive Outreach switch to snooze all AI proactive outreach messages to the resident.
- Select a date to end the snooze. Or, select Forever to hold the snooze indefinitely.

Click Save to save resident owner and AI settings.
What happened to the "Snooze" button?
Previously, you could disable AI outreach by clicking "Snooze" at the top of the conversation viewer.
EliseAI has moved this feature to the Resident Owner module.
