This guide outlines steps for integrating Yardi with EliseAI.

We recommend starting the integration process as soon as possible to ensure a seamless launch.
Use EliseAI Credentials Pages to set up your Yardi integration. To access a credentials page:
- Open the EliseAI Portal.
- Click Onboarding in the left sidebar. Then, click Launch Status in the dropdown menu.
- On the Launch Status page, find the row for the Building and Product you would like to integrate.
-
Click the red + Setup button in the row's Integration column.
A Yardi system administrator is required to complete this process. If you are NOT a Yardi admin, take the following steps first:
- Contact your Yardi Representative OR
- Submit a case to Client Central.

Reach out to your Yardi Representative
You may need to contact your Yardi Representative during the setup process.
- Account Number or Property Information: This helps the representative locate your account quickly.
- Specific Issue or Request: Be clear about the issue you're experiencing or the feature you need assistance with. If it's a technical problem, note any error messages or the steps leading up to the problem.
- Business Hours and Time Zone: If you're in a different time zone from your representative, mention your working hours to ensure you're contacted at a convenient time.
Step 1: Set Up Credentials
If you are a first-time customer with EliseAI, you will need to add MeetElise as a user. If not, MeetElise should already be added, and you can skip to Step 3.
MeetElise is an Interface User. This allows EliseAI to access data from Voyager without needing direct login capabilities, which helps keep your data secure. Plus, this integration won't impact your license count.
Create a New User Security Group
- Open Yardi Voyager
- Create a User Group under the ILS/Guest Card Interface type.
- On the left-hand side menu, navigate to Roles > Administration > Add Group (Under Users)
- Enter the following credentials:
- Code: meetelis
- Description: Meet Elise
- On the left-hand side menu, navigate to Security > Set Permissions
- Search for the Group used for vendors or a newly created group called "meetelise" and select Find.
- Set Description to Interfaces: Web Service
- Once the list of Permissions is visible, select Find. Then, select Edit.
- Set the following Permissions to Read/Write:
- Interfaces: Web Service: Billing & Payment
- Interfaces: Web Service: Collections
- Interfaces: Web Service: Common Data
- Interfaces: Web Service: ILS/Guest card
- Interfaces: Web Service: Resident Data
- Interfaces: Web Service: Resident Data Lease Renewal
- Interfaces: Web Service: Service Requests
- Interfaces: Web Service: Service Requests Get Attachments
- Save changes to complete security group configuration.
Create a New Web User
- On the left-hand side menu, navigate to Roles > Administration > Add Users (Under Users).
- Enter the following credentials:
- Code: meetelis

- Under the Privileges tab:
- Enable Interface User.
- Enter the User's credentials:
- Username: MeetElise
- Password: (At Your Discretion, please be sure to save this information)

Additional Step for CRMIQ Clients Only
If your organization uses Yardi CRMIQ, you must create a second web user for proper lead routing.
- On the left-hand side menu, navigate to Roles > Administration > Add Users (Under Users).
- Enter the following credentials:
- Code: House (or any internal code of your choosing)
- Last Name: House

- Under the Privileges tab:
- Enable Interface User
- Enter the User's credentials:
- Username: MeetElise
- Password: (At Your Discretion, please be sure to save this information)
- Save changes to complete web user configuration.
Link Property Access
Link the MeetElise user account to the Specific Property or Property List you are setting up.
This ensures EliseAI interacts with the properties you want it to. We suggest adding all properties since there are other options to limit property access for buildings that haven't launched yet.
Review Attachment Types (for Maintenance and Renewals Users)
- Navigate to System > Attachment Types in Voyager's let-hand side menu.
- Please ensure the following items exist in your setup:
- Work Order Attachment Type
-
Tenant (with a description referring to Lease Renewals)
- This will be a required selection option when completing Interface Permission in Step 3.
- If you do not have these attachment types:
- Under each empty Object Type row, select Work Order and Tenant.
- Under Description, type in Work Orders Elise (for Work Order row) and Lease Renewals Elise (for Tenant row).
- Save all changes.

- Select "Add New Credential" in the EliseAI credentials page. Input the following information:

Step 4: Add MeetElise as a Leasing Agent
Add the Meet Elise agent to create seamless communication between EliseAI and Yardi Voyager.
This setup allows your AI Assistant to perform essential tasks, such as lead management, leasing document requests, and other property-related functions.
- Navigate to Setup > Property > Review Property.
- Select the desired property and go to Functions > Agents.
- Find the Meet Elise Agent and add a Start Date if not populated
-
If the Meet Elise Agent is not on the list:
- Select the paper icon.
- Select Employee to find and add the Meet Elise user as a leasing agent.
- Enter the start date for the Meet Elise user.
- Click Submit
- Check “User can bypass Leasing Week security” to ensure EliseAI can import guest cards outside of the leasing week date range.
- Save your settings
Additional Step for CRMIQ Clients
If your organization uses CRMIQ, you must also add the House user as a Leasing Agent.
- Navigate to Setup > Property > Review Property.
- Select the desired property and go to Functions > Agents.
- Find the House Agent and add a Start Date if not populated
-
If the House Agent is not on the list:
- Select the paper icon.
- Select Employee to find and add the House user as a leasing agent.
- Enter the start date for the House user.
- Click Submit.
This ensures the CRMIQ environment can correctly assign and manage lead routing via the House agent.
Step 5: Add a Waitlist Unit For Each Property
Yardi requires a placeholder unit in Voyager to export tours when no standard units are available. To set this up for possible use later, you will need to add a unit in Voyager with any name starting with WAIT (e.g., WAITLIST). This flags the unit as a waitlist unit.
When units are available, nothing changes; tours export to the relevant unit as they do today. The WAIT unit only comes into play as a fallback when your building is fully occupied. You may give the unit any floorplan or configuration you desire as these will not be utilized by our system.
