Submitting a test lead is a helpful way to observe how the AI engages with prospects. Follow the steps below to ensure your test leads are submitted and handled correctly.
1. Access the Website or ILS Form
Navigate to the property website or Internet Listing Service (ILS) contact form you'd like to test.
2. Use Unique Contact Information
To avoid interfering with existing prospect records, always use unique contact details for each test lead.
- Phone Number: Use a new number generated from an online phone number generator.
- Email Address: Use variations of your email address, such as yourname+test@gmail.com, to create unique entries.
3. Submit the Test Lead
Complete the contact form using the unique information you created. You can also submit test leads directly from within the AI Portal, if your permissions allow.
4. Monitor AI Engagement
After submitting the test lead, navigate to the Activity page of your AI Portal. There, you can review how the AI responds to the test lead to ensure it's engaging as expected.
5. Review and Adjust as Needed
If the AI does not respond as anticipated, consider the following:
- Verify email deliverability and form setup
- Review the property’s AI knowledge base to ensure accurate and up-to-date information
You can update the AI's responses on the Knowledge page of the AI Portal.
6. Clear or Cancel Test Leads
To prevent further engagement with a test lead, open the lead in the AI Portal and update the prospect's status to "No Longer a Prospect". This will stop any future AI communication with that lead.
