Unit Waitlist Feature

EliseAI's Unit Waitlist Feature streamlines your leasing process by managing prospects who are interested in unavailable units. 

When a prospect inquires about: 

  • An unavailable unit
  • An unavailable unit type (1-Bedroom, 2-Bedroom, and so on)

Your LeasingAI Assistant automatically adds prospects to a waitlist for the relevant unit type. 

Note that the unit waitlist feature is enabled by default for your organization. Please Submit a Ticket if you wish to disable your unit waitlist. 

 

Waitlist Feature Flow

  1. Manage Interest in Unavailable Units
    • Your AI Assistant captures and manages interest from prospects who inquire about specific unit types that are not currently available at a given community.
    • By adding these prospects to a waitlist, EliseAI helps your leasing team maintain contact and efficiently follow up.
    • Once a prospect's preferred unit layout becomes available, your AI Assistant reaches out to the prospect to let them know.
  2. Continued Communication with Prospects
    • After prospects get added to the waitlist, they may receive follow-ups about other available units or layouts.
    • If the prospect express interest in other layouts OR does not respond, your AI Assistant continues to follow up.
    • If the prospect explicitly says they are NOT interested in other layouts, your AI Assistant stops following up.
    • This ensures balance between keeping prospects informed and respecting their preferences. 

 

Disable Waitlist Options

  • Internal Waitlists in Use
    • Some properties manage their own internal waitlists independently of EliseAI. Leasing agents may use these waitlists to manually follow up with prospects.
    • If you would like to use this workflow, Submit a Ticket to disable your waitlist.
    • Once you disable your waitlist, your organization's leasing agents can take over the waitlist process from your AI Assistant.
    • Instead of adding prospects to an EliseAI-based waitlist, your AI Assistant can create follow up tasks for agents to add prospects to your internal waitlists. 

 

View Your Waitlists

Follow these steps to view your unit waitlists in the AI Portal: 

  1. Click Reports in your AI Portal's left sidebar, then click Leasing to open your Leasing Report. 

  2. Select community waitlists to view using the Community and Community Group dropdowns in the right sidebar.

  3. Click the Re-engaged Leads panel in the Traffic section's right side. This opens the waitlists for your selected communities.

  4. View waitlisted prospects for your selected communities. 

    • You can view each prospect's name, contact information, and layout/unit preferences.
    • Click the link in a prospect's Conversation Link column to view their conversation history.

Frequently Asked Questions

 

Why is my AI Assistant still reaching out to waitlisted prospects? 

Your AI Assistant follows up to waitlisted prospects if: 

  • They express interest in alternate unit layouts.
  • They do not respond to your AI Assistant.

Your AI Assistant stops following up ONLY IF a prospect explicitly says they are not interested in other unit layouts. 

If your AI Assistant continues to follow up with prospects in this category, please Submit a Ticket to investigate the issue. 

 

How do I enable or disable the waitlist on my end? 

You cannot manually enable or disable the waitlist. Please Submit a Ticket to configure your waitlist feature. 

 

How do I make my AI Assistant create a task for waitlist requests?

Submit a Ticket to enable the waitlist task feature. Once enabled, your AI Assistant can create follow up tasks for agents to add prospects to your internal waitlists. 

 

Will my AI Assistant mention the unit waitlist to prospects? 

Your AI Assistant will not proactively mention your unit waitlist to prospects. It may mention the waitlist if a prospect specifically asks about it. 

 

Does LeasingAI support unit waitlists for affordable housing? 

LeasingAI currently does not support unit waitlists for affordable housing. We are currently building this feature, so please stay tuned for updates.
