A Promise to Pay is a commitment from a resident to pay their rent or remaining balance by a specified date. This feature helps track and manage these commitments to ensure timely payments.
How Does it Work?
If the resident promises to pay before the eviction filing date, the AI will automatically accept the promise and send reminders as the due date approaches.
If the resident promises to pay after the eviction filing date, the AI will create a task for manual review by the resident team to ensure appropriate follow-up and risk management.
A full list of residents who have promised to pay is available in your AI portal. Navigate to Reporting > Delinquency > Accounting View and then select Promise to Pay from the "Report Type" dropdown.
Eviction Filing Date Settings
The eviction filing date is determined by the settings within your AI portal. To update this:
- Navigate to Settings > Resident in the EliseAI portal
- Make sure that you're on the Delinquency tab
- Ensure you have the correct community selected on the left-hand side
- Update the Eviction Filing Day field as needed
- Click Save in the top right corner to confirm the changes
Promise to Pay Configurations
We understand that in some communities promises to pay may only be accepted in specific circumstances. Additional configurations for promises to pay are:
- Cutoff dates for promises to pay
- Balance thresholds under which promises to pay can be made
