Sales Agent 2.0 is a fully customizable AI leasing assistant that will engage like a top sales agent and adapt to your goals, whether it's increasing tour volume, reducing unqualified tours, or driving more applications. Sales Agent 2.0 is designed to proactively qualify leads, asking open-ended questions to identify serious prospects, reduce no-shows, and eliminate costly unqualified tours. Sales Agent 2.0 is currently live for VoiceAI only.
You can customize your AI assistant's goals by defining discovery questions that matter most (e.g. pets, budget, move-in date), screening criteria, prioritized goals (applications or scheduling tours), and key selling points for your communities. Then, your AI assistant can leverage these discovery insights to recommend units based on prospect preferences, including detailed unit-level amenities.
To get started, visit Settings > Leasing AI in your AI portal.
LeasingAI Settings: Overview
The Overview section shows Action Items that you'll need to resolve to complete Leasing Agent Settings, as well as a high-level overview of which communities are assigned to which mode.
Action Items will highlight the steps you need to take to complete Leasing Agent Settings. Action items include:
- Communities missing a mode
Any communities not currently assigned to a mode are listed here. To assign a mode, click "Assign" and use the dropdown to select a mode for each building. You can also select multiple buildings and bulk assign a mode at scale. - Missing Leasing Criteria
Any communities missing leasing criteria information (e.g. background checks, income requirements) in AI Knowledge are listed here. Your AI assistant cannot use this criteria until the corresponding knowledge has been added.
Modes will show all of available Sales Agent modes at your organization, as well as which communities are assigned to each. Here, you can edit existing modes, create new modes, remove a community from an assigned mode, and assign a mode to a community.
- To edit a mode, click on the mode to open a settings panel where you can make adjustments.
- To create a new mode, click the "+ Mode" button on the right side of the page
- To remove a community from an assigned mode, click the "X" next to the community name under the mode
- To assign a community to a mode, click the "+" button under the mode
You can also access the mode and individual community settings via the Modes and Communities sidebars respectively.
Default Modes
Your AI assistant will be set up with three default modes that include default discovery questions, leasing screening criteria, primary leasing goals, and AI personalities.
Mode | Discovery Questions | Leasing Screening | Primary Goal |
Sales |
What layout are you looking for? When are you looking to move in? | None |
Book tours |
Screening | What layout are you looking for? When are you looking to move in? What is your preferred budget? | Income requirement, credit score | Book tours |
Application | What layout are you looking for? When are you looking to move in? | Income requirement, credit score | Push applications |
Default modes can be edited to adjust the discovery questions, leasing screening criteria, luxe selling, primary goal, and AI personality settings.
You can assign a default mode to a community in a few different ways:
- On the Overview page under Action Items, select "Assign" and use the dropdown to select a mode for each community
- To bulk assign a mode, check the box next to each community and select a mode from the dropdown that appears at the bottom of the modal
- In the left sidebar under Communities, choose a community and click "Assign Mode"
- If a community already has an assigned mode, you can choose to reassign it by clicking "Switch Mode" at the top of this community-level settings page
Custom Modes
With Sales Agent 2.0, you can create custom modes tailored to each community's leasing strategy. Within each mode, you can select the settings for:
- Discovery – What questions does the AI ask to learn about the renter’s needs?
- Screening – Do you want to screen renters based on income, credit score, or other factors?
- Customization – What are key selling points you want to highlight?
- Conversion Goal – Should the AI schedule a tour or push for an application?
To create a custom mode:
- Select "Create Mode" from the side menu or click the "+ Mode" button on the right side of the Overview page
- A modal will open, prompting you to enter a Name and Description of the mode
- Add discovery questions
- Note: Your AI assistant will not proceed to the primary action (conversion goal) until it has answered all required questions)
- Select "+ Question" and enter your discovery question
- If you do not want the question to be required, toggle Required to Off
- Repeat for additional discovery questions
- You can add up to 5 discovery questions for each mode
- Add leasing criteria
- Note: Your AI assistant will not proceed to the primary action unless the prospect meets the following requirements, as specified in AI Knowledge
- If you assign a community to a mode that has leasing screening criteria and that criteria is not listed in your knowledge bank, it will be highlighted under the Leasing Agent community settings. You will be prompted to enter the relevant knowledge in your knowledge bank.
- For example, if Minimum Income is listed as a screening criteria and you do not have a minimum income listed in your knowledge, it will need to be added before your AI assistant can screen for this information.
- Select "+ Criteria"
- Select your leasing criteria from the list and click Save
- Note: Your AI assistant will not proceed to the primary action unless the prospect meets the following requirements, as specified in AI Knowledge
- Decide if you would like to enable Luxe Selling

- Book Tours: Your AI will focus on getting the prospect to book a tour
- Push Applications: Your AI will focus on getting prospects to apply directly to the community, without a tour

- Choose the communities
Once your custom mode is created, you can edit as necessary from the LeasingAI Settings Overview page.
Community-Level Settings
In addition to assigning a community to a specific mode, there are additional settings that you will need to configure for each community. Begin by selecting the community you want to edit from the Communities list in the left sidebar.
Discovery Questions, Leasing Screening Criteria, Luxe Selling, the primary action for qualified leads, and personality settings will be pre-filled based on the assigned mode. You will not be able to adjust these settings from the community page, and will instead need to edit the mode directly.
Under Leasing Screening Criteria, you will be able to see if your AI assistant needs additional knowledge to screen prospects.
For criteria with corresponding knowledge, you will see the current knowledge your AI assistant has for that criteria. In the example above, the "Credit Score" criteria shows the existing credit score requirement currently listed in knowledge.
Criteria without corresponding knowledge will appear in red. Click "Add Knowledge" to add this information to your AI assistant's knowledge bank. In the example above, "Background Check" and "Income Requirement" knowledge is missing and needs to be added.
Further down the page, you can add and edit Community Highlight and Selling Points for your AI assistant to reference in conversations with prospects. Click "+ Highlight" to add a new highlight, and then click "Save". You can also edit highlights by clicking on them or delete them using the trash can icon.
