To access the page, open app.meetelise.com and click Reports > Marketing Spend on the left side panel.
Manage Contracts
The Manage Contracts tab is where you can add, edit, delete, and view your existing marketing source contracts.
To add a new contract, click the Add Contract button on the right side. A modal will open.
All fields in the modal are required, except Contract End Date and Contract Name. Contracts without an end date are assumed to be ongoing. Expired contracts will remain visible until manually removed.
Adding or editing contracts will immediately update the Spending Report data.
Note that checking the Apply to Organization box will override any communities selected in the dropdown.
Contract Types
-
Contract Value: Flat-rate, one-time fee
-
Per Month: Recurring monthly fee
-
Per Lead: Fee per lead
-
Per Lease: Fee per lease
Spend Report
The Spend Report tab shows an overview of your existing marketing source contracts.
The default view shows the current month-to-date for your organization, and you can adjust the date range as needed.
To break down the spend report further, select a building or building group from the Community dropdown. Clearing the dropdown or selecting "All Communities" will return to the organization-level breakdown.
By default, the Split by Community toggle is switched on for organization- or building group-level reports.
-
When ON, all buildings with marketing source, lead, or lease information are displayed by building + marketing source
-
When OFF, records are grouped by marketing source, combining leads, leases, and marketing spend
Double click on the numbers in the Leads or Leases cells to open the Contract Details modal. The modal table shows a breakdown of individual prospects, including their name, date of lead/lease, and a link to the conversation.
Spend Calculation Logic
The calculation logic used when generating spending reports differs depending on the Contract Type and whether the contract is applicable for an individual building, building group, or entire organization.
Contract Value (Flat Rate)
-
Individual Building: Spend = Contract Value
-
Building Group: Spend = Contract Value / Number of buildings in the group
-
Organization: Spend = Contract Value / Number of buildings in the organization
Per Month
Per Month Spend is calculated by first dividing the Contract Value by 30 (the average number of days per month**). This result is then multiplied by the number of days of overlap between the reporting start/end range and the contract start/end range.
Spend = ( Contract Value / 30 ) * ( Number of overlap days between reporting range and contract range )
Example
-
Reporting Range: Jan 1, 2024 - May 1, 2024
-
Contract Dates: Dec 15, 2023 - April 1, 2024
-
Contract Value: $100 / month
There are 91 days of overlap between the reporting range and the contract dates.
Spend = ( $100 / 30 days ) * 91 days = $303.33
**Note that because we use the average amount of days per month, the final spend calculation may differ very slightly from the actual spend amount.
Per Lead
Spend = ( Number of Leads ) * ( Contract Value )
During calculation, leads are broken down into a daily view and calculation is only applied to leads within an active contract range.
Example
-
Contract Dates: Jan 15, 2024 - Jan 18, 2024
-
Contract Value: $2 / Lead
-
Leads by Day:
-
Jan 13: 2 leads
-
Jan 14: 1 lead
-
Jan 15: 1 lead
-
Jan 16: 0 leads
-
Jan 17: 3 leads
-
Jan 18: 2 leads
-
Jan 19: 1 lead
-
In the above example, 6 leads fall within the contract range.
Spend = 6 leads * $2 = $12.00
Per Lease
Spend = ( Number of Leases ) * ( Contract Value )
During calculation, leases are broken down into a daily view and calculation is only applied to leases within an active contract range.
For an example of a Per Lease spending calculation, see the above Per Lead breakdown. The same logic applies.
