Setting up EliseChat
You can install the EliseChat widget on your community website by adding the community's EliseChat code snippet to the site's HTML code. To do this:

Log in to your dashboard on app.meetelise.com

Navigate to Settings > Website Widget and select the community from the sidebar

At the bottom of the settings panel, you'll find the code snippet

Each community has a unique snippet, even if you've chosen to use the default settings

Remove any existing scheduling tools or chat widgets from your community's website

Add the code snippet to the site's HTML code before the </body> closing tag
RentCafe Websites
To install the EliseChat widget on a website hosted by RentCafe:

In Site Manager, navigate to Marketing > Analytics Tracking in the left sidebar

Click Add New Item on the right side of the page

Fill out the Add External Tracking form

Between the <body> tags, closer to the closing <body> tag

Once configured, your EliseChat widget should appear on the bottom right portion of your website.
Customizing EliseChat
On the default settings page, you can adjust the settings for all widgets if you'd like them to be consistent across your properties, or turn that setting off and configure them individually.

Log in to your dashboard on app.meetelise.com

Navigate to Settings > Website Widget

To update organization-level settings:

Navigate to the Default Settings tab in the left sidebar

This applies to buildings that do NOT have any specific building webchat configurations; specific buildings must be updated individually unless they use the default settings

To update building-level settings:

Navigate to the specific building in the left sidebar

Switch off the Use Default Settings toggle

Update your widget's style, color, and engagement options as desired

Save any changes with the "Save Settings" button in the bottom right
Changing any settings in the EliseAI app will not require an update to the code snippet.
In order to enable the chat widget to pop like it's starting a conversation when someone opens the community website, check the "Auto Open Chat" option under Advanced settings in the main Website Widgets settings page.
Troubleshooting
The widget will only appear for buildings that are live on EliseAI. Any property still in onboarding and not yet live will not see a widget on their website, even if the snippet is added to the website footer.
If the EliseChat widget does not appear and the community is live, please contact support@meetelise.com. Sometimes, community websites have code that blocks the widget, which may require troubleshooting with your web dev.
There is potential for the widget to overlap with the web cookie compliance widget that is also required on websites. Please reach out to their website provider to move the cookies widget if need be.
